Class Skill Levels
In an attempt to make classes more productive and enjoyable for those who attend, we will be using the following guide to classify all of our creative & technique-based classes.
When registering for a class, please check the skill level required to make the most out of your class time.
Beginner- For those trying this type of project for the first time.
Confident Beginner- For those with basic skills and confidence in following patterns.
Intermediate- For those who have mastered the basics & are ready to move on to more challenging projects.
Advance- For those who have mastered the craft and are ready for advanced techniques.
We must have minimum of two students signed up for a class or it will be rescheduled for a later date.
Classes and Event Calendar
Learn what fabrics work well, learn about color and value placement and what tools to use to create a one of a kind quilt. Pick your favorite Laura Heine collage pattern and learn basics while you work in class then complete the project on your own. Some pre-work is required. Class Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
This is a 4 session class for the quilting beginner - you will complete a lap size quilt. Some sewing knowledge is required but no quilting experience is necessary. Bring your machine in good working order to class. It is requested that you stop into our shop to pick up a supply list, some homework is required.

Cancellation / Store Credit Policy
- We consider your enrollment to be a commitment to our teachers.
- Register early to ensure minimum class size is reached
- No credit will be issued if canceling 7 days prior
- Cancellations 8 days or more you will receive a store credit (that must be redeemed within 3 months)
- SDV does not offer makeup classes for missed classes
- If you register within 7 days of the class the above policy still applies
- We reserve the right to cancel a class based on enrollment. Should we cancel, a full refund will be given.
